One Paseo Announces First Confirmed Tenants…And They Look Gooood!

Just about every resident of Carmel Valley I talk to wishes they had more options for good food and drinks and it looks like One Paseo plans to deliver!

The mixed-use development bringing shops, restaurants, apartments, offices, and public plazas to Del Mar Heights, recently announced their first four tenants, and it looks like they’ve picked some some great additions to the neighborhood!

We’ll get two great looking options for fresh, fast casual eating–poké and organic Mexican–as well as two intriguing ‘date night’ options featuring oysters, smoked meats and good cocktails.

Here’s what’s on the menu:

International Smoke

International Smoke is award-winning Michael Mina and Ayesha Curry’s (Stephen Curry is the other half of this powerhouse couple!) first venture in the San Diego culinary scene. International Smoke explores global approaches to fire, grilling, and smoke to create flavorful dishes that bring communities together all around the world. Curry and Mina have created a menu that highlights an array of quality spices, products, and cooking techniques from around the globe.

Tocaya Organica

The fresh casual restaurant, founded in Venice in 2016, serves Modern Organic Mexican cuisine with a chef-driven menu committed to sustainability and using locally-sourced organic ingredients. Tocaya Organica caters to a variety of dietary preferences including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free, and uses sustainable fish and meats that are free of hormones, steroids and antibiotics–and never frozen.

Sweetfin Poke’

Sweetfin Poké bridges Hawaii’s traditional “soul food” and inventive California cuisine with its delicious, healthy poke bowls. Sweetfin’s signature philosophy, from “Pole to Bowl”— represents Sweetfin’s mission to source the highest quality and most sustainable raw fish. This philosophy extends into all areas of the restaurant’s offerings – from their produce to their sauces and even to the ingredients used to infuse their teas.

Ways & Means Oyster House

Ways & Means Founders Parnell and Jennifer Delcham and Dena Mathe took inspiration from heritage flavors and the environments of seaside clam shacks, oyster bars and harbor houses around the globe to create this concept that celebrates the coastal lifestyle–and it’s a huge hit! Their committment to sustainability and localization of product, combined with a large selection of spirits, beer and wine flowing from opening to closing every day, has made them one of the most popular seafood destinations in Southern Calfornia.
