Shop Local At The ‘Local Spring Bazaar’ This Sunday At Liberty Station!

Shop Local!

Nobody supports their local businesses like San Diego, and this weekend is one of the best opportunities of the year to do just that!

The Local Spring Bazaar (you may remember their outstanding ‘Local Holiday Bazaar’ event last December at Brick in Liberty Station) is bringing together more than 70 local makers, boutiques, artists and craftsmen for a day of fun everyone can enjoy, and admission is free!

This time, the event will be held on the North Promenade of Arts District Liberty Station, as well as the lawn of Stone Brewing World Bistro & Garden – Liberty Station, and feature a packed schedule of live demonstrations and workshops in addition to the opportunity to shop the carefully curated merchants.

So grab your picnic blanket & basket, fill it up with food from Liberty Market or eat and drink at Stone, and come shop for all of your Mother’s Day gifts in the sunshine at Local Spring Bazaar Sunday, April 30th from 11am to 5pm!

About Your Hosts

Jodie Alonso and Jade Spalding, two positively-lovely creatives who have travelled across the pond from the UK only to land here in our very own SD, bring their incredible experience in the fashion and design world to the design of the Local Spring Bazaar experience.

Their backgrounds include assisting with fashion buying for boutiques in Paris, London and Milan, working for a women’s wear fashion designer in sales, PR, production, and design, and producing fashion shows and events in London, Paris, Milan and NYC – a resume that’s hard to beat!

Meet the Makers & Merchants

The result of Jodie and Jade’s careful attention to detail and eye for craftsmanship is a thoughtfully designed event with a rare attention to detail and and thoughtful selection of merchants, like the following:

JoJo & Suse

Jojo & Suse make handmade, beautifully simple, all leather shoes for any occasion. Their shoes are made by artisans in Turkey, on the boarder of Syria where shoe making is an age old tradition. Completely hand cut with top grain leather, hand dyed and hand stitched, they are made to last. Perfect in any weather, with any outfit, they appeal to anyone with a simple sense of classic style and will stand the test of time. They are super comfortable and travel well!

The mission of their brand, is buy less stuff and they implore consumers to be more thoughtful in the consumer decisions.

Who needs a lot of stuff, when you can have a few exquisite things?
