Halloween at the Station Combines Family Fun With a Food Drive
Liberty Station is taking over Ingram Plaza for their annual Halloween at the Station celebration, and this year they’re adding a community service angle that’s worth showing up for.
The four-hour event covers all the standard Halloween bases—costumes, candy, activities—but it’s also serving as a collection point for a food drive benefiting military families and veterans through Feeding San Diego.

The Full Lineup
The event setup includes a DJ keeping things lively, an inflatable obstacle course for kids to burn off energy, craft stations, and trick-or-treating throughout Liberty Station.
Point Loma Cars and Coffee is bringing a Hollywood car show into the mix, which adds something for the car enthusiasts and gives families another reason to walk around between activities.
Costume Contest With Five Categories
The costume contest is open to everyone without pre-registration, and they’ve broken it down into five categories: ages 0-6, ages 7-15, ages 16+, group costumes, and pets. Winners in each category receive prizes from Liberty Station businesses, so there’s actual incentive beyond bragging rights.
If you’ve been planning an elaborate costume or coordinating a group look, this is the spot to show it off.

Supporting Military Families
Here’s where the event goes beyond typical Halloween programming. Liberty Station is partnering with Rotary District 5340 and Feeding San Diego for the Uniting to Combat Hunger Food Drive.
You’re are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items—specifically peanut butter, pantry staples, ready-to-eat meals, and soup (no glass containers).
The donations go directly to Feeding San Diego’s Feeding Heroes initiative, which provides meals to active-duty military families and veterans. It’s a small ask that makes a tangible difference for local military communities.
