ArtWalk Carlsbad Returns For A Second Year To Bring Fine Arts To North County
The 2nd annual ArtWalk Carlsbad will return to Armada Drive to bring immersive art experiences, visual arts and live music—including a performance by A.J. Croce—to North County.
The ticketed fine arts festival will elevate the grounds above the Carlsbad Flower Fields as chalk artists create temporary masterpieces live and more than 175 visual artists showcase and sell their unique art pieces. Overlooking the ocean, attendees can explore different facets of art while enjoying beautiful views and much more!
“Each year we bring the community together to celebrate fine arts in San Diego and support local, national and international artists through ArtWalk San Diego’s three annual events. With the addition of our newest fine arts festival, ArtWalk Carlsbad, we provide artists with a chance to connect with art enthusiasts from North County and throughout Southern California in one weekend,” said Sandi Cottrell, event director.
“Attendees will also love the one-of-a-kind chalk art that will fill Armada Drive and the wide array of art displayed and for sale directly by the artists. With scenic, breathtaking ocean views and cool breezes, ArtWalk Carlsbad is a must-visit event for art collectors at all levels!”
ArtWalk Carlsbad will feature live entertainment, a wine and beer pavilion, street food options, interactive art experiences; KidsWalk, a family-friendly interactive art area, and more! Guests can enjoy live music all weekend long, including a special performance by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter A.J. Croce on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The fine arts festival will display every medium of art including painting, sculpture, glass work, fine jewelry, photography and more.
Unique to ArtWalk Carlsbad, chalk artists from all over the USA will create colorful, temporary masterpieces on the asphalt. This ancient art form that originated in the piazzas of Italy, is performance art that takes shape before guests’ eyes.
ArtWalk Carlsbad, along with Mission Federal ArtWalk in Little Italy and ArtWalk @ Liberty Station support their non-profit partner, ArtReach, which delivers high-quality art education to K-8 schools throughout San Diego, focusing on Title One Schools that have no other resources for art. Many of the programs ArtReach offers are provided at no cost to schools.
See you there!
