10 Barrel Brewing Co. San Diego Debuts Cali Love Music & Arts Festival
Barrel Brewing Co.’s San Diego brewpub announced its first-ever Cali Love Music & Arts Festival. Inspired by the brewpub’s popular Cali Love IPA, brewed by award-winning Brewmaster Benjamin “Benny” Shirley, as well as San Diego’s active and creative community, the festival celebrates beer, art and the outdoors, with over 20 different beers on tap, nine local bands, live art demonstrations and local vendors.
A festival reminiscent of KAABOO
The East Village brewpub will transform for the day into a festival reminiscent of KAABOO, with three stages: the Main Stage, the Sunshine Sounds Stage and the Patio Grooves Stage.
Guests can jam out at the Main Stage and the Sunshine Sounds Stage to local indie rock and reggae musicians, including SYNRGY, Sensi Trails, Th3rd Coast Roots and Aviator Stash. The Patio Grooves Stage, meanwhile, will host a special NorCal vs. SoCal silent disco from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Additional music acts performing at the Cali Love Music & Arts Festival include Tape Heads, Project out of Bounds and The Frets.
Beer will flow at the event’s beer garden and two bars, including a special edition of the festival’s namesake bright, tropical IPA. Pints can be paired with bites from the 10 Barrel kitchen, led by Chef Tommy Fraioli. Craft tacos, gourmet pizza, and festival snacks will be available throughout the festival so attendees can refuel for their next favorite band or the silent disco dance party.
“This festival is the culmination of 10 Barrel’s passion for our city and, of course, for beer,” said Zach Borba, general manager of 10 Barrel’s San Diego brewpub. “The Cali Love Music & Arts Festival is our chance to bring the San Diego’s diverse community together in the heart of San Diego to share in great beer, great food, great art and great music.”
