North City just launched their Summer Event Series, and we’re already obsessed with the outdoor movie nights they’re using to kick things off. These free screenings are exactly what our summer evenings have been missing, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect.
The Perfect Summer Evening Setup
North City has always been one of those neighborhoods that just gets it right—walkable streets, public spaces that actually feel inviting, and that perfect mix of restaurants that makes you want to linger. Now they’re adding movies under the stars to the equation.
The concept is refreshingly simple: show up for games and family activities, stick around for character meet-and-greets, then settle in for the main event. They’re keeping it classic with Disney favorites—Toy Story and Finding Nemo.

Wynston’s Ice Cream is getting creative with themed flavors—for Toy Story night, they’re featuring “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” made with yellow sugar cookie ice cream, which honestly sounds like exactly what we need right now.

Maya’s Cookies has cookie decorating kits if you want to keep the kids busy before the movie starts, and Milonga Empanadas is grilling up choripán sandwiches with Argentine chorizo and chimichurri for something a little different. Draft Republic handles the adult beverages, so everyone’s covered.
