Rooftop Cinema Club Embarcadero Announces Its Year-End Holiday Lineup
Barbie and Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One are coming to the Rooftop!! They’re among more than 75 box office hits set to be screened in November and December as Rooftop Cinema Club Embarcadero at the Manchester Grand Hyatt announces its end-of-year lineup, including the holiday season.
Just six weeks remain in the 2023 Rooftop Cinema Club season (closing date is December 17 and the venue will reopen in the Spring – Date TBD) so now is the time for San Diegans to get out and see their favorite films and holiday classics at San Diego’s iconic outdoor cinema with never-ending views of the city’s downtown skyline.
In addition to Barbie, which screens November 4 & 11 and December 2, and Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One, which screens November 3 & 18, nostalgic classics that dot the November to December slate include the original 1978 classic Grease; Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally, and John Cusack, Kate Beckinsale and Jeremy Piven in Serendipity.
And with the holidays approaching, the Rooftop Cinema Club schedule is loaded with everyone’s favorite holiday films, including Elf, Home Alone, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, The Grinch, It’s a Wonderful Life and a plethora of others.
Rooftop Cinema Club Embarcadero Year-End Holiday Lineup

A selection of theme nights and special events are featured as part of the November-December schedule. Details are below:
Tuesday Social Hour
On Tuesday, November 7, 14 & 28 and on Tuesday, December 5 & 12, Rooftop Cinema Club will host Tuesday Social Hour from 6PM-8PM. It’s a fun time for San Diegans to come out to the Rooftop and enjoy food, cocktails, live music, lawn and table games, and of course, gorgeous skyline views.
Admission to the Tuesday Social Hour is just $9 and it includes a drink from the Rooftop Cinema bar. Guests can also opt for a $29 combo ticket that includes all the Tuesday Social Hour perks, plus a guaranteed seat for the film.
The Tuesday Social Hour film queue includes 10 Things I Hate About You (Nov. 7), The Devil Wears Prada (Nov. 14), Serendipity (Nov. 28), Four Christmases (Dec. 5) and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (Dec. 12).
Movie Night & Silent Disco
Rooftop Cinema Club Embarcadero hosted its first-ever Movie Night & Silent Disco in September and it was an instant hit! By popular demand, two more are scheduled for November 16 and December 14 (times and films TBD).
Featuring live DJs, tickets can be purchased to both the movie night and silent disco or separately. Open exclusively to guests 21-and-over, tickets start at $20 and each ticket comes with a complimentary beverage. Tickets to both the Movie Night & Silent Disco also include bottomless popcorn.

Fall Romance
Rooftop Cinema Club’s November slate features a month-long celebration of finding love amongst the falling leaves with some of RCC’s favorite Fall Romance films. It’s a love-filled lineup that includes Pride & Prejudice (Nov. 2), P.S. I Love You (Nov. 5), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Nov. 9), When Harry Met Sally (Nov. 12), The Holiday (Nov. 19 & 30), You’ve Got Mail and About Time (Nov. 26).
People’s Choice: Favorite Musical
The popular “People’s Choice” movie night returns on December 4 and perfect for the holidays, the theme is Favorite Musical. RCC fans can vote for the movie musical they’d like to see HERE and the choices include beloved classics and recent favorites.
Voting is open through Nov. 13 and the winning film will be announced Nov. 14. Tickets to the Favorite Musical People’s Choice Night are just $10 as Rooftop Cinema Club’s way of thanking its loyal fans for voting and being part of the RCC family.
“Wooftop” Cinema Club
Rooftop Cinema Club’s “Wooftop” dog-friendly screenings continue to rank among its most popular attractions and four such dates are on tap for Nov.-Dec. Dog parents should mark their calendars for Saturday, Nov. 4 (Coco), Saturday, Nov. 18 (The Grinch), Sunday, Dec. 3 (The Nightmare Before Christmas) and Sunday, Dec. 17 (Elf) to come enjoy a day on the Rooftop with their beloved furry friends.
A special relief area will be provided and pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Also, all dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
Open Caption Screenings
Rooftop Cinema Club’s open caption screenings are open to all movie lovers and feature captions throughout the film to make the event accessible for deaf and hard-of-hearing guests. Holiday season open caption screenings include Beetlejuice (Friday, Nov. 10), Elf (Saturday, Nov. 25) and The Holiday (Wednesday, Dec. 6).
