The Del To Host Victorian-Inspired Community Carnival Event
The Del is hosting a seaside Victorian-inspired carnival, called Then & Now, to celebrate 135 years of (and 135 years to come) of its rich history in San Diego!
The Seaside Victorian Carnival
Nostalgia Meets Fun
The iconic Hotel Del Coronado has created a full day of free and family-friendly Coronado community events intended for locals, members, and hotel guests to celebrate the magic and nostalgia of the property’s storied past.
The festive afternoon will be filled with complimentary entertainment including:
- Vintage strolling performers
- Aerialists
- Tight-rope walkers
- Bubble artistry
- Sandcastle exhibits
- And more…
The event will also feature a beachfront vintage game gallery with nostalgic carnival games including milk can toss, ring toss, penny pitch, skittle strike, and Plinko, with all carnival game fees benefiting Coronado charitable organizations including Coronado Schools Foundation, The C4 Foundation, Wampler Foundation, Emerald Keepers, Safe Harbor, and Coronado Historical Association.
They’ll also be serving up nostalgic treats like caramel & chocolate-dipped apples, kettle popcorn, soft pretzels, corn dogs, and more. A custom 12 ft turret bar will be centered on the lawn, serving up signature cocktails for purchase.
See you there!
The event is free to attend and open to the public.
