Join The Japanese Friendship Garden As They Honor The Ancestors At The Annual Toro Nagashi Festival
Toro Nagashi Festival at The Japanese Friendship Garden will have different performances for guests to enjoy in addition to the 12+ merchant booths. Food vendors will be serving delicious dishes in the Lower Garden and a Beer & Sake Garden will be available in the Upper Garden Exhibit Hall.
Toro Nagashi Festival Lantern Floating
Toro Nagashi is a ceremony is done in honor of those who have passed. The floating lanterns commemorate loved ones and wish them peace. Guests will be able to float their candle-lit lanterns (LED candles) in the lower garden stream. Starting at 10AM on Friday, August 5th, 100 lanterns will be available for purchase and decorated in the Inamori Pavilion. It’s on first come, first serve basis.
Beer & Sake Garden
The Japanese Friendship Garden invites guests 21+ to enjoy beer and sake samples from a variety of vendors in the Upper Garden Exhibit Hall on August 5th & 6th.

We’re very excited to announce that the Japanese Friendship Garden (JFG) collaborated with local business, TuziNeko, to create a one of a kind Toro Nagashi Festival design for this year.
