Whiskey & Fire Brings Live-Fire Cooking and Premium Spirits to Liberty Station

Whiskey & Fire is coming to Liberty Station, combining Heritage Fire’s live-fire cooking with Whiskies of the World’s premium spirit tastings for a dynamic culinary experience that showcases San Diego’s top chefs.

Taking place at Liberty Station’s North Promenade, this collaboration benefits Event Zero Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to fostering positive environmental and social impact within the events industry.

Whiskey & Fire Liberty Station

The Live-Fire Culinary Experience

Heritage Fire brings their signature farm-to-table approach with an all-star cast of local chefs cooking over open flames.

The participating talent includes Ben Diaz from Corkfire Kitchen, Brian Redzikowski from Kettner Exchange, Bryan Garcia from Cork & Craft, Cameron Ingle from Halom, and Willian Eick from Matsu, among others.

The walk-around format lets you experience each chef’s approach to live-fire cooking as they roast, grill, and char meats, seafood, and vegetables to perfection. It’s culinary theater where you can watch the cooking process while tasting expertly prepared dishes straight from the flames.

The Whiskey Component

Whiskies of the World brings their nationwide event series expertise to complement the food with a curated selection of premium spirits. From rare single malts to beloved bourbons, the whiskey program offers variety and quality that match the caliber of the culinary offerings.

The pairing concept works because both live-fire cooking and whiskey production involve controlled use of heat and time to develop complex flavors. Experiencing both together creates opportunities to discover how different spirits complement the smoky, charred flavors that come from cooking over open flames.

What’s Included

General Admission at $125 includes unlimited curated dishes, beverage pairings, whiskey tastings, and live entertainment. The focus on responsibly raised heritage breeds and ethically sourced ingredients aligns with current dining values while ensuring quality.

VIP Admission at $175 adds 45-minute early access, VIP-exclusive pours, and a welcome beverage to all the General Admission offerings. The early access means better interaction with chefs and first access to limited dishes, while exclusive pours likely include rarer whiskeys not available to general admission guests.

Supporting a Good Cause

Proceeds benefiting Event Zero Inc. add meaning to the indulgence. The nonprofit’s focus on positive environmental and social impact within the events industry aligns well with Heritage Fire’s farm-to-table philosophy and the overall emphasis on responsible sourcing.

Whiskey & Fire at Liberty Station represents exactly the kind of elevated food and drink programming that makes San Diego’s culinary scene special—top local talent, premium products, and a beautiful setting that brings the community together.
