Consortium Holdings’ Born & Raised will be opening its doors for the first time since Covid on Father’s Day! The iconic American steakhouse located in Little Italy will be open from 5:00-10:00pm Monday to Thursday, 5:00-11:00pm Friday, 4:30-11:00pm Saturday, and 4:30-10:00pm Sunday. Carnivore dads are sure to get all fired up about Rare Society’s Father’s Day Grilling Bag. Available for pickup Thursday, June 18, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Rare Society. The Father’s Day Grilling Bag includes: 1, 5lb Marinated Tri-Tip; 1, Whole Citrus Marinated Spatchcocked Chicken; 4, 3oz Filet Mignon Medallions; 4, 4oz Kielbasa Sausages; 4 Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Skewers; House Made BBQ Sauce; Santa Maria Style Salsa; and TRG Grilling Spice Mix. Mongolian Hot Pot
Get your hot pot fix this Father’s Day at Mongolian Hot Pot. Enjoy dine-in or place an order for an at-home hot pot kit. Kits serve two, four or six individuals and range from $45- $120, with an option to purchase a stove and pot set for an additional cost. Guests can enjoy signature spicy and non-spicy Yin Yang Soup, choice of Supreme Lamb Shoulder or Supreme Angus Beef, fresh vegetables, handmade noodles and more, within each kit. Virtual Grilling Class with Brian Malarkey and Top Chef All-Star Alum Bryan Voltaggio
Now, we KNOW that Dad is already an expert on the grill (of course!), but if he wants to sharpen his skills, Brian Malarkey is excited to announce a very special “Cooking with Malarkey” virtual class featuring guest chef and fellow Top Chef All-Stars alum, Bryan Voltaggio. The special crossover class will take place on Friday, June 26 at 3:00pm PST, and will feature the chefs’ favorite summer grilling recipes.
The first recipe will be crafted by Chef Malarkey, with Chef Voltaggio taking over for the second dish, and the pair collaborating on a specialty cocktail recipe. In addition to the recipes and tutorials, participants will have a chance to chat with chefs Malarkey and Voltaggio about everything from their time on Top Chef, to their favorite dad jokes.
The class costs $100 and can be booked here. In addition to the class featuring Chef Voltaggio, Chef Malarkey is also offering several other Cooking with Malarkey classes throughout June and July. The hour and fifteen minute classes, which are designed to showcase some of Malarkey’s favorite dishes, include two recipes, a shopping list, a video recording of the class, and a live Q + A.
Each class invites participants into Chef Malarkey’s home kitchen, where he’ll virtually teach two recipes, while providing his cooking tips and tricks, and of course the hilarious commentary he has come to be known for. Cardellino + Mr. Trustee: Father’s Day Ultimate Sticky Bun
Treat Dad to his own batch of Chef Jeremy Harville’s ultimate sticky buns (made famous at sibling restaurant, Trust) + a pint of handmade Mr. Trustee brown sugar ice cream to top it off! Ranch 45 , Virtual Wine Dinner and Grilling + Beer Boxes
Make dad feel extra special by kicking the celebration off early, with Ranch 45’s Brewer Clifton Virtual Wine Dinner on Friday, June 19th at 6:30pm. The dinner will be led by Winemaker Greg Brewer, and will feature four courses, such as veal cutlet with grilled peaches, prosciutto and arugula, and Brandt Beef New York steak with hoja santa and polenta cake.
The dinner will highlight Brewer Clifton Wine, and will include a guided tasting and interactive history of Brewer Clifton, Diatom and Ex-Post Facto Wines. The dinner costs $115 per person for a wine pairing, or $60 per person for the dinner, with the option to buy the wine as bottles instead (ranging in price from $30 to $100.) The class can be booked via Ranch 45’s website here, and participants can pick up their meal between 4:00 and 6:00pm Thursday, June 18 or 3:00 and 5:30pm on Friday June 19.
If you prefer to have an in-person experience, a group of 10 of your closest friends or family can enjoy dinner in Suite 101, Ranch 45’s private dining room. This exclusive seating will include a selection of library collection wines, and cost $130 per person. In addition to Ranch 45’s wine dinner, they have also teamed up with local brewery, Saint Archer, to offer the ultimate grilling boxes. Boxes range in price from $80 to $125, and include grilling items such as steak or burgers, plus accoutrements like BBQ and chimichurri, as well as a 6-pack of Saint Archer beer.
