The Barn House BBQ Brings Kansas City-Style BBQ to Lemon Grove
The Barn House BBQ has officially opened its doors, bringing finger-licking Kansas City-style BBQ to Lemon Grove! With a motto of “the messier, the better,” The Barn House BBQ is serving up smoky, meaty goodness dripping with homemade sauces.
A new go-to for BBQ lovers, sports fans and families alike, you can enjoy ribs that fall off the bone, pulled pork that melts in your mouth, and a variety of smoked staples that capture the essence of Kansas City BBQ in each bite.
The Barn House BBQ: Diverse Menu with a SoCal Twist
The rustic and spacious ambiance features indoor and outdoor seating, along with a 1,500 square-foot Game Room featuring classic arcade games, pool tables, and more—perfect for the kids and the kids at heart!
Executive Chef Yovani Palacios is giving classic BBQ dishes a SoCal twist, including the Grove Burrito made with BBQ pulled chicken, smoked BBQ aioli, fries, cheese, avocado, and pico de Gallo, and the Barn House Burger loaded with housemade BBQ sauce, smoked pork belly, and cheese on an Angus beef patty.
Additional menu items include appetizers such as TJ Nachos and BBQ Sliders, as well as chicken, pork, and beef rib plates.
You can also order classic BBQ side dishes, including Mac and cheese, Smoked Beans, Potato Salad, and more. To finish your meal, indulge in something sweet, like Carrot Cake or Smoked Cheesecake.
The beverage program features a selection of beers on tap, highlighting local breweries like Mission Brewing, Stone, and Coronado Brewing. It also includes bottled beers, wine, and rice-spirit-based craft cocktails such as the Smoked Bloody Mary, Espresso Martini, Raspberry Mojito, and more.
The eatery offers casual counter-service dine-in and to-go, along with catering available for delivery or pick-up.

The Barn House BBQ is located in San Diego’s Lemon Grove neighborhood at 8099 Broadway. Hours include Sunday to Thursday from 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM, and Friday to Saturday from 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM.
