Watch out San Diego, Super Bowl weekend is bound to bring out hordes of ‘Massholes’ and ‘Gang Green’ to bars around town!
Even if you aren’t a fan of either team (join 98% of America!), the Super Bowl is a great party. And if you don’t watch, you’ll have no idea what everyone is talking about when they recap the best commercials at the office on Monday!
Whether your idea of a great Super Bowl is to hit the town or to watch from your couch, it’s time to make those plans!
Here are a few ideas – we’ll keep updating it as we get word of more specials.
Park 101 – Carlsbad
Park 101 in Carlsbad is such a great, relaxed atmosphere – with awesome bbq and beer. Perfect for watching a Super Bowl!
They’ll have the Big Game on the big projection screen, as well as on the tv’s. And they’ll have $9 wings by the pound and beer and bubbly specials to keep everyone happy!
Beachside Bar and Grill – Encinitas
If you’re looking for good bar food, stiff drinks and a bazillion tv’s in a casual atmosphere, Beachside is a great choice. It’s right down the street from our office, and a go-to option for our team for games and UFC fights. Get there early!
Westroot Tavern – Carmel Valley
A neighborhood chef-driven tavern specializing in scratch-made local food with a SoCal flair. This Carmel Valley spot pairs their impressive menu with fresh seasonal cocktails, 30 beers on tap, over 10 big screen TVs and comfortable bar seating suitable for the football frenzy while snacking on tasty burgers, chicken tenders, mac & cheese, wings, and more.
Woodstock’s Pizza – Pacific Beach
This hotspot for college students, surfers, and locals alike has the whole package – welcoming fans of all teams to enjoy the Super Bowl with a sizzling pizza in front of them and all of the playoff games with the NFL DirecTV Ticket Package. Regents Pizzeria is offering a $52 special in honor of Super Bowl LII. The special one-day-only package includes: 18” create your own pizza with three toppings, 12 wings (with flavors including honey habanero orange and teriyaki), and a tiramisu dessert. Concurrently, Regents will be offering two specialty pizzas (one NY style and one Chicago style) inspired by the city of each of the teams dueling it out in the big game. For those opting to watch the game on one of the TV screens at Regents, they’ll have two specific beers on tap, intentionally paired with the specialty pies.

Cerveza Jack’s at Moonshine Beach – Pacific Beach
One of Pacific Beach’s best party spots will be celebrating Super Bowl with their 2nd Annual Super Sunday Party with multiple bars, plenty of televisions, including a 30ft wide x 7.5ft high LED screen, patio seating and arcade games. Guests can move between Moonshine Beach, the adjoining patio and Cerveza Jack’s throughout the day and enjoy taco and food specials along with beer and drink specials.
The Deck at Moonshine Flats – East Village
