Remedy Holistic Pharmacy and the Little Italy Association invite the Little Italy community and San Diegans to come together for the first-ever neighborhood Blood Drive.

Donors are encouraged to sign up for their appointments beforehand and will be entered to win Remedy Holistic Pharmacy gift bags including prizes from Pappalecco, Queenstown Public House, Brazilia Skin Care & Spa, and Black Market Barbershop, with complimentary canoli from Nonna + Zucchero to get that blood sugar up after donating.

Doing our part
“San Diego County is in a critical blood shortage fueled by a decrease in donations and an increase in delayed medical procedures due to COVID”, said April Segal PharmD, BCPS, APh, Owner of Remedy Holistic Pharmacy. “We wanted to do our part to make it easy for the residents of Little Italy to donate and give back. With a great turnout this time, we hope to make this a regular event!”
“When Remedy Holistic Pharmacy approached us regarding this event, we knew we wanted to rally our community to come together and support them and this amazing cause”, said Chris Gomez, District Manager of the Little Italy Association. “Our neighborhood was built on resilience and overcoming obstacles together, and now we want to do the same, but for the greater good.”

Go for goal!
This event marks the neighborhood’s first-ever blood drive, and the Association’s second partnership with Remedy Holistic Pharmacy after last year’s COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic held at Amici Park. The Red Cross has a goal of 18 units, and both Remedy Holistic Pharmacy and the Little Italy Association are hoping to exceed that goal. The blood drive will be held right in front of the pharmacy and appointments can be made online here.
