Liberty Public Market Turns 10 and We’re Celebrating All Weekend Long
A decade ago, a 25,000-square-foot piece of San Diego history opened its doors as something the city had never quite seen before. What started as a bold idea has grown into one of our favorite places to eat, shop, and just hang out – and this March, Liberty Public Market is marking ten years with a full anniversary weekend
A Space With Over a Century of History Behind it
Before it was a market, this 25,000-square-foot space served a very different purpose. Over a hundred years ago, it was the mess hall and commissary for Naval Training Center San Diego – feeding tens of thousands of sailors within those same walls.
Today, that same building is home to some of the best local vendors, eateries, and makers the city has to offer. The history is part of what makes it so special.

A Full Weekend of Food, Music, and Celebration
The 10th Anniversary Weekend is shaping up to be a proper party. Think exclusive merchandise, beer collaborations, live music, vendor specials, adoptable dogs, and more – all spread across two full days. It’s the kind of weekend where you’ll want to come back both days, and honestly, we wouldn’t blame you.

Ten Years of Supporting Local
What Liberty Public Market has always done best is shine a spotlight on the people behind the food and products – the small business owners, the makers, the chefs who pour themselves into what they do. A decade in, that spirit is still going strong, and this anniversary is as much a celebration of them as it is of the market itself.
