Coastal Christmas Holiday Light Spectacular Lights Up Del Mar

Coastal Christmas is taking over Del Mar with millions of lights, eco-friendly ice skating, Santa visits, private igloos, and themed cocktails at the Mistletoe Lounge & Elf Bar.

If you’ve been looking for a holiday experience that combines outdoor activities with festive atmosphere right by the coast, this delivers. The event runs 10 select days and they’re offering promotional nights throughout the run that give specific groups free admission.

The Full Experience

The Holiday Light Trail features over a million twinkling lights across several themed areas. The Glice Skating rink uses eco-friendly synthetic ice that’s as close to real ice as it gets while saving energy and emissions.

Private igloos and fire pit tables are available by reservation if you want a fenced-off seating area. Photos with Santa let you snap memorable shots with the big guy.

The Mistletoe Lounge & Elf Bar serves themed cocktails, beer, wine, and hot cocoa, plus there’s live music. Frosty’s Fun Zone works for kids ages 4-12 with bounce houses, climbing, and bungee trampolines. The Holiday Wine Walk lets you stop at tasting locations throughout the park, and Mrs. Claus Kitchen brings food trucks and vendors serving up eats.

Looking for something extra special? Reserve a private igloo with your own fire pit for roasting s’mores.

• December 14 (Stuff A Sleigh): First 1,000 children get in free with an unwrapped toy. Accompanying adults must buy tickets.
• December 18 (Community Night): All General Admission tickets are Buy One, Get One Free.
• December 19 (First Responders & Nurses Night): Free admission with valid work ID or badge.
• December 21 (Military Night): Active duty and Veterans get free admission with valid ID.
• December 22 (Senior Night): Guests 65+ get free admission with valid ID.
• December 23 (Student Night): Students get free admission with current school ID.
