Catch Five Free Stages, a Beer Garden, and a Dunk Tank at Birdstock in Bird Rock
Five stages. Free admission. A half-pipe with pro skaters and BMX riders. An Oktoberfest-themed beer garden. A dunk tank. The 5th Annual Birdstock Music Festival takes over La Jolla Blvd in Bird Rock for a full day, and there is genuinely a lot going on.

Five Stages of Local Music, Hosted by 91X’s Rick Savage
The lineup runs all day across five stages spread along Bird Rock’s coastal streets, with a broad mix of styles and 91X’s Rick Savage holding court at the Big Wave Main Stage. Plan to wander. You’ll land somewhere good.

OktoBIRDFest, a Dios Azul Tequila Deck, and a Half-Pipe
OktoBIRDFest beer and wine garden opens at noon, tickets sold day-of. Want to upgrade: the Dios Azul VIP Tequila Bar and Viewing Deck overlooks the Big Wave and Spotlight Stages with premier seating and fine tequila, open all day.
Meanwhile, the rest of the festival has pro skate and BMX performances on a half-pipe, bouncy houses, a dunk tank, a pet adoption zone, and a custom hat bar. It’s all-ages, which makes the lineup of activities make a lot of sense.

Your Attendance Actually Goes Somewhere
Birdstock is a non-profit charitable event hosted by the Bird Rock Community Council. Beneficiaries this year are arts and music programs at Bird Rock Elementary and the La Jolla Coastal Conservancy. Show up, spend a little, do some good.
