About Deftones
Deftones, pioneers of ’90s nu-metal, evolved beyond the genre, creating a unique alternative metal blend. Their early albums, including “Adrenaline,” “Around the Fur,” and “White Pony,” showcased their mix of heavy riffs and ethereal melodies. They continued to experiment with releases like “Diamond Eyes,” “Koi No Yokan,” and “Gore.” Their 2020 album “Ohms,” produced by Terry Date, marked their fourth decade as a band. Despite tragedy, lineup changes, and musical evolution, Deftones’ impact on the alternative metal scene remains profound.
