Dance Into Halloween at Blood Lovers: Ten Years at The Prado in Balboa Park

Blood Lovers has been throwing the best Halloween party in Balboa Park for a decade, and the 10th annual is headlined by one of the biggest names the series has ever booked. Music is 4 Lovers and its crew are back at The Prado, and this year’s lineup is worth clearing your calendar for.

Dennis Ferrer, Armen Miran, and Tara Brooks Across Four Stages

Dennis Ferrer is a heavyweight in house music – the kind of artist whose name on a lineup makes the decision easy. His records have been in rotation in clubs worldwide for decades, and he brings that level of craft to every set. He’s joined by Armen Miran and Tara Brooks, with more artists still to be announced.

Four stages means you can follow the set you want, drift between rooms, and find your corner for the night.

The Prado After Dark, Dressed for Halloween

The Prado in Balboa Park doesn’t need much help. It’s a historic venue at the heart of the park with architecture that does a lot of the work for you. On Halloween night, with four stages running and a crowd that came to dance, the whole space turns into something different.

This isn’t a warehouse or a nightclub floor – it’s one of the more memorable settings in San Diego, and it gets better after dark.

Ten Halloweens Deep With the Crew Who Built It

Blood Lovers is a Music is 4 Lovers production, co-hosted by AMA Sounds, The Usual Suspects, and Delicious. Ten years of running the same party at the same level says something about how seriously this group takes the experience – and about how well they’ve gotten to know what San Diego’s dance music crowd actually wants.
