What began as an event to tell and celebrate the story of mezcal, Mexico in a Bottle has evolved to showcase the growing craft beverage scene in Mexico. No longer just an agave-driven movement, we now see rum, whiskey, botanicals, liqueurs, bitters, wine and beer-making their way into the market.

The story of mezcal and these other elixirs isn’t just about alcohol, each bottle contains a piece and flavor of Mexican culture, and is a living link to history, tradition, food, art, and music – life and death all in a bottle.

5:45: Beyond Tequila: Agave Distillates in Jalisco – Clayton Szczech of Experience Agave takes us into the world of agave distillates in Jalisco and how the different denominaciones of Tequila, Raicilla and Mezcal are impacting production.

The Art of Mezcal:

Artist Gustavo Rimada will unveil his commissioned work of art as part of a partnership with Del Maguey mezcal exploring the intersection of art and mezcal.

The tiendita is back featuring beautiful crafts from Casa Xovi, the Mezcalistas Merch booth, and more!

The event is once again partnering with Logan Avenue Consortium whose work supports and promotes the culture of Barrio Logan and celebrates Mexican Heritage.
