Dine Inside a Living Artwork at An Artist @ the Table
Vanguard Culture’s signature dinner series An Artist @ the Table is back, and this edition is one of the most ambitious yet.
For three exclusive evenings, CHAPEL in Liberty Station will be transformed into an immersive light, sound, and video art environment by visionary artist Ben Guerrette, while Chef Flor Franco crafts a 4-course culinary journey inspired by the artwork surrounding you.
It’s the kind of experience where the food and the art aren’t just side by side – they’re in direct conversation with each other.
Four Elements, Four Courses
Ben Guerrette’s installation turns CHAPEL into a multi-sensory exploration of the four elements – Water, Fire, Earth, and Air. Chef Flor Franco’s menu mirrors these elemental themes through flavor, presentation, and story, meaning every dish you eat reflects the visual and sensory world around you.
Wine pairings from the Valle de Guadalupe are provided by Baja Wine + Food throughout the dinner, adding another layer to an already immersive experience.

How the Evening Unfolds
The evening kicks off with a cocktail hour before moving into dinner service and the full immersive experience, wrapping up with an open lounge to close out the night. The pacing gives you time to absorb both the food and the art without feeling rushed, which is exactly the point of an experience like this.
See you there!
An Artist @ the Table continues to prove that some of the most memorable dining experiences happen when chefs and artists push each other to think differently about their craft.
