Skip the Late Night: Earlier Lands at the Belly Up
There’s a new kind of night out landing at the Belly Up, and it’s built for those of us who want to dance our hearts out and still be in bed at a decent hour. It’s called Earlier – a dance-focused party for the 21-and-up crowd that wraps in time to actually enjoy the next morning.
Leucadia locals Max Gold and Amal Chandaria, both artists and avid surfers, dreamed it up after a late birthday night cost them a shot at the next day’s cleanest waves. Because, as any early riser knows, the good ones don’t stick around past sunrise.
Dance Hard, Sleep Well
The pitch is simple: we shouldn’t have to choose between a good night out and a good night’s sleep. Earlier serves up all the energy of a proper dance party – the music, the movement, the drinks, the friends – without the next-day wreckage.
Co-founder Max Gold says it plainly: “You shouldn’t have to choose between a good night out and a good night’s sleep.” The mission is to keep us dancing hard, living loudly, and feeling alive, minus the morning-after regret. Think North County beach party at sunset, minus the sand in our shoes.
All the Party, None of the Regret
An open, non-exclusive space to let loose on the dance floor. A drink in hand. A soundtrack built for movement. And a curtain call early enough that we can still make our alarm, our workout, or our surf spot the next morning without regretting it. If we’ve been quietly opting out of late-night club culture, this is the plan we’ve been waiting for.
Solana Beach Bound
The next Earlier goes down at the Belly Up in Solana Beach with a lineup that keeps the dance floor honest: DJ Senzø, DJ Mr. Bold, and DJ KOKO. Whether we’re a longtime North County local or making the trip up from the city, this one is worth clearing the calendar for. Tickets are $22 in advance and $33 day of. Just note: 21 and over only.
See you there!
Round up the crew, lace up the dancing shoes, and head to the Belly Up – proof we can still dance like we used to and get to bed on time.
