Taste Local Food & Feed Animals at Farm to Bay in Chula Vista
Farm to Bay is back for its 17th year with a fall makeover. The Living Coast Discovery Center’s tasting event and fundraiser has moved from summer to this October, with new ways to get hands-on with the animals.
Set inside the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Chula Vista, it’s a food-and-drink celebration with the bay and wetlands as your backdrop.

Sip, Snack, and Soak in the Bay
Wander the grounds with local food and beverage partners, live entertainment, and both silent and live auctions. The natural beauty of the bay and wetlands makes a pretty great setting for a night out, especially with a drink in hand.
Stroll from one tasting to the next, take in the scenery, and see what catches your eye along the way. Between the bites, the music, and the chance to bid on something special, there’s plenty to keep you busy.

Meet the Animals Face to Face
This is where Farm to Bay really shines. You can meet the Living Coast’s animal ambassadors, including an endangered sea turtle, sharks, hawks, eagles, owls, and more.
New this year, you can help feed some of the animals for the first time. Special activities throughout the evening also spotlight the Living Coast’s animal care, education, and outreach work, so you can meet the teams behind it all.

Party With a Purpose
Farm to Bay is the Living Coast’s largest annual fundraiser, supporting the nonprofit zoo and aquarium’s wildlife care, education, and sustainability programs.
Last year’s sold-out event raised a record $165,000, and this year’s goal is $180,000. Every ticket helps care for the animals and inspire the next generation of coastal conservationists, all while you enjoy a great evening.

A Zero-Waste Celebration
Sustainability is built into the event. The Living Coast works with its partners to cut waste, uses reusable and earth-friendly materials, and hand-sorts and composts waste on-site with help from staff and volunteers.
Last year, 96 percent of event waste was recycled or composted, well above the 90 percent mark needed to be considered zero-waste.
See you there!
Great food, up-close animal encounters, and a cause that gives back to local wildlife make Farm to Bay a fall outing worth getting your tickets for early.
