Join Meals On Wheels San Diego For Their Annual March For Meals 5K Charity Walk
Join Meals on Wheels San Diego County for their annual March for Meals 5K Charity Walk presented by Barona Band of Mission Indians. This FREE and fun fitness event will help support San Diego’s homebound and isolated senior population, as well as their furry companions, through their Animeals pet meal delivery program.
Although the event is free this year, fundraising is encouraged and donations are gladly welcome as proceeds will help provide nutritious meals and a daily wellness check for this most vulnerable and fragile population.
Event day begins with registration open at 9 am and the Walk begins at 10:30 am. Prizes will be awarded to the team and individual with the most funds raised and best costume. Dogs are welcome at this family friendly event! Please RSVP by signing up here.
Same day registrations are welcome.
Unable to join us on March 22nd, but still want to support the organization? You can make your donations here to help keep seniors safe, nourished, and socialized in their own homes.
About Meals on Wheels San Diego County
The impact Meals on Wheels has on the seniors they serve goes far beyond the wholesome meals provided. Daily friendly contact provides important socialization for those who may be
isolated with little or no connection to the outside world. Lives are often saved in the course of delivering meals when a person does not respond to a knock on the door, has fallen, or may have become ill. For 60 years, Meals on Wheels San Diego County has contributed to the overall well-being of seniors by providing regular nutrition and daily contact with a caring volunteer.
