Wine, Vibes, and Good Causes: Pali’s Summer Sessions Backyard Bash Returns
The sixth volume of Summer Sessions Backyard Bash is happening at Pali Wine Co., and we’re already planning our Sunday afternoon around it.
This celebration of their latest natural wine releases under the Neighborhood Winery label has become one of those annual Little Italy events that perfectly captures what we love about San Diego’s wine scene—community-focused, creatively crafted, and genuinely fun.

Limited-Edition Natural Wines You Can’t Get Anywhere Else
These aren’t your typical wine releases. Pali’s Summer Sessions collection is designed specifically for warm weather hangouts and beach time, with each bottle featuring summer-themed artwork that’s as playful as the wines themselves.
This year’s lineup includes five chillable, unique blends that will never be made again once they’re gone.
The star of the show might be ‘Convertible,’ a zesty white blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc that sounds perfect for rooftop hangs. Then there’s ‘Cowboy,’ an aromatic orange wine, and ‘Gone Fishing,’ a juicy chillable red that’s already making us think about sunset sessions.
Each wine is crafted to be zippy, refreshing, and designed for those moments when you want something special but not overly serious.
Culinary Collaborations That Get Us Excited
What makes this bash even more special is the chef lineup they’ve assembled for food pairings. We’re talking about some serious local talent: Chef Alek Palmer from Pali Wine Co. Little Italy, Chef Ashley McBrady of Cellar Hand, Chef Anders Rubini of Paradisea, Chef Michael Friedrich of Sushi Me Rolln SD in partnership with Chula Seafood, and Chef Vanessa Corrales of Michi Michi Bakery.
When chefs of this caliber are dreaming up pairings specifically for these wines, you know the food is going to be memorable.

Music and Good Vibes
DJ sets by Pink Panther Project and Max Trzcinski will keep the energy flowing throughout the afternoon. There’s something about good wine, great food, and the right soundtrack that creates those perfect Sunday moments we’re always chasing.
Supporting Local Food Sustainability
Beyond the wine and food, this event supports some meaningful causes. Limited-edition t-shirts will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting Berry Good Foundation and Zero Footprint—both organizations working on food sustainability initiatives that align perfectly with Pali’s community-focused approach.
