Rooftop Cinema Club Set To Host A “Queen Bey” Rooftop Party Movie Night & Silent Disco
San Diego’s Rooftop Cinema Club Embarcadero is about to put an entirely new spin on the Rooftop experience when it hosts its first-ever Movie Night & Silent Disco at its famed venue atop the Manchester Grand Hyatt.
For the very first one on Thursday, September 28, Rooftop Cinema Club is going to pay homage to American pop music icon, Beyoncé, who just last week celebrated her 42nd birthday and is just about to wrap up her record-breaking Renaissance World Tour.

Tickets can be purchased for the Movie Night & Silent Disco here, or the Silent Disco alone, click here, with tickets starting at $35 and $20, respectively. Each ticket comes with a complimentary beverage and those who purchase tickets to both the Movie Night & Silent Disco will also receive bottomless popcorn.
Doors for the event will open at 6:30PM. Guests will arrive and grab their personal headphones and head right to the Rooftop Cinema Club lounge where they’ll be treated to an opening DJ set from 6:30PM-7:30PM.
Movie Night with Queen Bey
At 7:30PM, Rooftop Cinema Club will silence the music for a special screening of the 2001 Robert Townsend cult-classic Carmen: A Hip Hopera, starring Beyoncé. The film, which marked the beginning of Beyoncé’s acting career, is based on the 1875 opera, Carmen, and features a who’s who of actors and musical artists, including Mekhi Phifer, Mos Def, Wyclef Jean, Jermaine Dupri and Lil’ Bow Wow.
Silent Disco
Following the film at 9PM, guests will take their headphones and retreat to the Rooftop Cinema Club lounge where the real party begins. For the next two hours, guests will enjoy Rooftop Cinema Club’s Silent Disco featuring a pair of dueling DJs who will spin Beyoncé-inspired sets. It’s most definitely a Rooftop party not to be missed.
Rooftop Cinema Club’s Movie Night & Silent Disco is open to guests 21-and-over only and cinema seating is first-come, first-served.
