Medieval Festival at Serpentine Cider Brings Knights and Cider to San Diego

Huzzah! Time travel becomes reality this weekend at Serpentine Cider’s Medieval Festival. Step back to the Middle Ages for an afternoon of knights, maidens, craft demonstrations, and the kind of feast food that would make any medieval court jealous.

Medieval Festival at Serpentine Cider

Feast Fit for Royalty

Serpentine Cider & Smokehouse goes all out with turkey legs, ribs, and brisket smoked for 14 hours on-site in real-time using their gorgeous, flavorful smoker.

The pre-order system for turkey legs and ribs ensures you won’t miss out on the main event foods, while other medieval-inspired dishes will be available throughout the afternoon.

New and delicious cider flavors anchor the drink menu, joined by special collaborations of mead and beer that perfectly complement the medieval theme and smoky feast foods.

Craftspeople Bring History to Life

Watch sword fighting demonstrations and classic spinning wheel artisans showcase skills that defined medieval life. The Artist Alley provides opportunities to browse and purchase treasures that capture the spirit of the era, making this more than just a themed party—it’s an educational experience that brings history to life.

Scottish Highland Cows Join the Court

In a delightful last-minute addition, Outlander Highland brings Scottish Highland cows to the festival. For a small additional fee, you can enjoy meet-and-greets and photo opportunities with these adorable animals that add authentic medieval charm to the celebration.

Costume Contest Encourages Court Dress

The best costume prizes encourage participants to embrace their inner medieval characters. Whether you go full knight, elegant maiden, or creative interpretation of Middle Ages fashion, dressing the part enhances the immersive experience for everyone.

Accessible Medieval Magic

At $20 per person, including your first cider, the festival makes medieval magic accessible while supporting local craft cider and the artisan community. The Miralani Drive location provides easy access to this unique cultural experience.
