Black Plague Brewing, Bottlecraft, The Original 40 Brewing Company, and Second Chance Beer Company are teaming up for the 2nd-Annual North Park Oktoberfest Beer Crawl to give beer lovers a chance to win a $600 prize package of gift cards and merchandise.
There will be music, magic and comedy performances, professional golfer and TV personality Peter Jacobsen will be master of ceremonies, and the Lucky Duck Foundation will be announcing several million dollars in program investments.
The event features over 100 restaurants across the county offering prix-fixe menus starting at $20. No tickets are required, but reservations are recommended, and many venues offer expanded outdoor dining options.
The evening’s menu will be created by Chef Wise, who is behind TRUST Restaurant Group. The hospitality collective includes five distinct concepts (TRUST, Fort Oak, Rare Society, Cardellino, and The Wise Ox) that highlight the bold, smoky, wood-fired flavors that have become his signature style.
Rooftop Cinema Club is going to pay homage to American pop music icon, Beyoncé, who just last week celebrated her 42nd birthday and is just about to wrap up her record-breaking Renaissance World Tour.
The culinary outlet will be celebrating its one year anniversary with an epic celebratory dinner to mark the successful year its been for the restaurant and look forward to the many years to come.

During Sunset Pier Walks, guests will join Birch Aquarium naturalists on an exclusive walking tour of the Scripps Pier — which is normally closed to the public — and learn about fieldwork being conducted by Scripps Oceanography researchers.
This uproarious murder mystery promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats with its scandalous secrets, over-the-top theatrics, and unforgettable characters.
Enjoy exciting activities for both kids and adults, including free trick-or-treating, festive fall entertainment, all things pumpkins, festive fall treats, seasonal workshops, a 5K in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and more.
The late-summer and early-fall weather is the perfect time to snuggle up for a movie at Rooftop Cinema Club, given it’s incredible location atop the Manchester Grand Hyatt with never-ending views of the downtown skyline!
Puesto worked with a Scripps dietitian to develop the Vegetable Mole Verde Taco, now available on menus at all San Diego locations. For the next year, a portion of the proceeds from this taco, and some other select menu items, will go directly to support Scripps cancer care.

The Pablove Foundation will hold the last leg of Pablove Across America cycling event to raise money and awareness for kids with cancer, culminating in a celebration at Draft Republic at North City.
Attendees are invited to once again register and fund-raise to support HIV prevention and treatment in the San Diego region. The event will also feature live music, a memorial to those lost to HIV/AIDS, and an opportunity to celebrate top fundraisers.
This year, the Expo promises an even grander celebration of Baja’s rich culture and captivating travel experiences. The event is free and open to all ages and will be hosted at the picturesque Crown Point Park on Mission Bay from.
Attendees will experience Skin Authority’s premium products firsthand after learning the top tips and tricks from skincare pros and leave with a personalized “BeautyWorkout” regimen.
With 10K and 5K courses that include rolling hills, river crossings, tall walls, muddy pits, tunnels, slippery slopes, cargo climbs, and more, this iconic event offers a taste of Marine Corps life. The series is led by certified instructors and equine specialists and those that attend can expect a meet and greet with the organization’s horses, equine-based activities to see the magic and healing natures of the horses, a 20 minute yoga session and meditation.

During the month of October, Fjällräven is teaming up with San Deigo based non-profit, Experience Nature Unplugged, to hike for wellness in the digital age. This peer-to-peer fundraising event lets you, and others, raise money based on the number of miles you walk/hike/run during the month!
