Chula Vista Welcomes The Return Of The Starlight Parade & Festival
Grab your holiday attire, light accessories, and hold on to your reindeer horns because the Starlight Parade is coming back to Chula Vista this holiday season after a three-year hiatus!
Third Avenue will once again come alive with the Starlight Festival festivities!
The Parade will feature over 100 entrants ranging from festive floats and marching bands to dance teams and classic cars. Be sure to stay until the end to get a peek at Santa in a Chula Vista Fire Engine!
“The Parade serves as an incredible way to bring the community together and celebrate the holiday season. After halting operations during the pandemic, we’re ready to bring back more of the fun, festive events that Downtown Chula Vista is known for. I can’t wait to see everyone rejoin the festivities and enjoy the magic of the holidays!”
Holiday fun at The Starlight Parade & Festival
Before the parade, attendees can enjoy festivities such as the Holiday Market, rides on the Chula Vista Express and free family photos with Santa beginning at 3PM, all while enjoying live music from the stage at Memorial Park.
The Holiday Market, curated by the Downtown Chula Vista Market, is the perfect place to shop from local artisanal vendors for holiday gifts and treats.
And returning for its second year is the 25-foot-tall Christmas tree which will be lit during an official ceremony at 5:45PM! It’s a holiday celebration for the books – you won’t want to miss it!
“The City of Chula Vista is proud to announce the magical return of the Starlight Parade and Festival,” said Mayor John McCann. “After a three-year hiatus, we are preparing to bring the parade and festival that will be bigger and brighter than ever before. Parade applications will soon be available for those looking to be part of this festive celebration.”
