Cheer On Swimmers at the 6th Annual Swim for SOF
San Diego Bay is about to host one of the city’s most inspiring athletic challenges. The Honor Foundation’s 6th Annual Swim for SOF brings together Navy SEALs, Special Operators, veterans, and everyday supporters for an open water swim from Coronado to the USS Midway.
The event is all about raising awareness and funds for the Special Operations community, turning a grueling swim into a meaningful show of support.

A Bay Crossing Like No Other
This high-performance event draws around 120 swimmers, including invited veterans from across the Special Operations community, such as SEAL, SWCC, EOD, MARSOC, Green Beret, and PJ backgrounds.
Swimmers tackle a 3.3-mile open water swim from Coronado to the USS Midway Museum, with a 1-mile sprint option available for those looking for a shorter challenge, though sprint spots are limited.
Whether you’re racing the full distance or taking on the sprint, you’ll be in the water alongside some of the nation’s most elite warriors.

Carrying Their Memory Across the Bay
The swim opens with a beachside ceremony and a moment of silence for fallen teammates, followed by swimmers running in formation with American flags to Glorietta Bay before starting the swim.
After the first leg to Tidelands Park, swimmers pause for a tribute workout in honor of fallen veterans before continuing the final stretch to the USS Midway, where a second tribute workout caps off the race ahead of closing ceremony activities.
Along the way, swimmers carry tribute cards for fallen service members, a small but powerful reminder of what the event is really about.

The Finish Line and the Party That Follows
The public is welcome to cheer on swimmers at the finish line, then join the official waterfront afterparty at InterContinental San Diego. Expect cocktails, appetizers, and a silent auction, all benefiting veteran career transitions.
Swimmers receive two party tickets as part of their registration, and additional tickets are available for purchase for anyone who wants to join the celebration.
See you there!
Between the swim, the tributes, and a waterfront celebration for a great cause, Swim for SOF is a powerful way to honor and support San Diego’s Special Operations community.
