Have Dinner In The Flower Fields Of Carlsbad

Dinner flower fields carlsbad

As the saying in the Flower Fields near the coast of Carlsbad, California goes — from Ranunculus to Roses, The Flower Fields® is one of the most beloved spring traditions.

On April 20th, the Field to Vase Dinner Tour — “a nationwide dinner series that places the focus on seasonal, local & sustainable American grown flowers at the center of the table” — will be arriving to Carlsbad, and we’re pretty excited about it!

Meet flower farmer Mike Mellano of Mellano & Company and learn a thing or two about his family’s farming history while you enjoy an artfully-crafted dinner right smack dab in the middle of a sea of flowers — alongside the sea breeze itself.

If you’d like to take your adventure in all things floral a step further, opt for the exclusive VIP farm tour and reception. It’s limited to 20 guests and takes place and hour before the event.

The Flower Chef author, Carly Cylinder, will be the flower magician at hand, constructing the tablescapes through artistic and modern design straight from the farm’s field.

You can also join Carly for a two and a half hour workshop the day of the dinner to create your very own flower crown, in addition to helping create the evening’s table decor. She’ll show you some flower prep, care, and design techniques that you can carry with you to any party from now until forever.

At the end of the night, take home your crown and an arrangement from the table alongside your happy memories.

There are only a handful of seats left, so if you want to get in on this floral-filled adventure goodness, you’ll have to act fast.

Like Ralph Waldo Emerson said, The Earth Laughs in Flowers.

So, San Diego, put on your spring best and get out into those fields you know and love for a once-in-a-flower-filled-field-opportunity!
