Midnight In Paris, At 8 p.m. In Balboa Park!
The San Diego Museum of Art features its next free movie at the Botanical Lawn on Thursday, August 31st.
The film-of-the-night is 2011’s Midnight in Paris, a charming and whimsical Woody Allen rom-com centered on a struggling writer who mysteriously travels to 1920s Paris every night.
There he finds romance and inspiration as he mingles with his modernist idols. Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí are among the artists that make appearances as the film explores the inter-connectivity of the creative community as a whole in Paris during this time.
And imagine following that story amongst the setting of the Botanical Lawn and Museum of Art in Balboa Park! Allen’s main character won’t be the only one feeling like he’s stepping out of time and into a world of art!
Grab a picnic, a blanket, and a few friends and enjoy the trip!
Films begin at sundown (approximately 8:00 p.m.) at the Botanical Lawn (east of the Museum).
