San Diego Museum Month At Museum Of Contemporary Art
Visit the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) in their downtown location from February 1-29 for discounted admission as part of San Diego Museum Month.
MCASD is the San Diego/Tijuana region’s foremost forum devoted to contemporary art. Located in the heart of downtown San Diego adjacent to the Santa Fe Depot, MCASD’s 4 exhibitions on view cover a wide range of contemporary art topics from how artists have represented nature to photographing the changing landscape of one’s country to the intersections of art and science.
Artists on view include Ana Mendieta, Graciela Iturbide, Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Marta Palau, Nancy Lupo, Oscar Romo, and more.
At MCASD Downtown, experience contemporary art in a historic setting – the Jacobs Building, formerly the Santa Fe Depot baggage building – and view site-specific installation by artist Richard Serra. MCASD La Jolla is closed for a major renovation and expansion project that will quadruple current gallery space.
MCASD is open 11AM-5PM daily and closed on Wednesdays. For more information on visiting the museum, click here.
See you there!
