8 San Diego Date Night Restaurants That Are Perfect For A Hot Date
The struggle to find a date night spot that strikes the perfect balance between ambiance and appetite is real. Never fear! We’ve rounded up seven sweet San Diego date night restaurants perfect for getting cozy and enjoying some unique bites with your other half.
8 San Diego Date Night Restaurants
1. Campfire
This North County new kid on the block has all the warm atmosphere of it’s namesake and then some. Campfireboasts a seasonally-driven, curated menu that rotates almost weekly. Though the menu features highly elevated and imaginative dishes like whole roasted fish with black garlic romesco and smoked avocado leaf panna cotta, the setting is anything but fussy.
Rich with rustic wood beams sprawling to the ceiling and shelves lined with colorful artisanal pottery, the setting is intimate, with no shortage of charm- teepees on the patio, anyone?
It’s easy to see why this is one of the best San Diego date night restaurants!
2. Wormwood
Wormwood is San Diego’s first absinthe bar and bistronomic restaurant. Grab a seat at their intimate bar if you can find a seat, or sit down for dinner in their restaurant or garden; both feel like they are straight out of Paris. The perfect environment for a romantic and hot date.
3. Madison
Madison has received plenty of well-deserved praise for its beautiful cocktails and stunning architectural design over the years, and it’s a perennial favorite of ours. Whether you take a seat at their intimate bar or grab a table for dinner, you can’t go wrong.
4. Starlite
This San Diego gem, nestled on an unassuming corner of India Street in Mission Hills, has some of the best food and cocktails in San Diego and a mid-century modern environment that is simultaneously sophisticated and feels like a very comfortable neighborhood bar at the same time.
5. Born and Raised
We think Born & Raised is consistently one of the top few restaurants in San Diego – they get everything right. Try to get a table upstairs so you can enjoy the open-air views of Little Italy while you eat. And save plenty of room when you go – you’ll want to try everything from the charcuterie board to dry-aged steak to the cheesecake – and a few cocktails to wash it down. That’s the way we do it, anyway!
6. Seneca Trattoria
Seneca is a Roman trattoria and has been a highly sought-after dinner reservation in San Diego since they opened. It’s located at the top of the InterContinental Hotel overlooking the bay, the San Diego skyline, and beyond.
7. Herb & Wood
Herb & Wood serves rustic, wood-fired dishes & old-school cocktails in a beautiful, sprawling space that makes us feel like we’ve left San Diego and arrived in Europe for the evening.
8. The Nolen
To round off our list, is the perfect spot to end a romantic evening. The Nolen is a rooftop bar and lounge every bit as swanky as that description implies. Sip a signature cocktail and enjoy small bites while taking in views of the San Diego skyline and harbor. You’ll most definitely lock in date number two.
See you there, San Diego!
