The Best Places to Watch the World Cup in San Diego

We have World Cup fever! With the FIFA World Cup 2026 bringing matches to North America – including right here in Southern California – the excitement is bigger than ever. The passion of fans from around the world makes the World Cup a can’t-miss experience, even if you’re not usually a soccer fan, so we’ve rounded up the best places to watch the World Cup in San Diego to help you make your game plan!

As the tournament takes over stadiums across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, San Diego will be buzzing with watch parties, special events, extended hours, and food and drink deals as fans gather to cheer on their favorite teams throughout the competition.

The tournament runs throughout the summer, and we expect even more viewing parties and celebrations to pop up as the matches heat up and the stakes get higher – so we’ll continue updating this list along the way.

For now, here are the best places to watch the World Cup in San Diego:

San Diego FC Soccer Celebration

San Diego FC and Adriana’s Insurance are spreading the World Cup across Mission Beach, Little Italy, and Chula Vista for 39 days of matches, music, and activations.

The main hub is at Fit Social in Belmont Park, right on the boardwalk at Mission Beach, where SDFC players, coaches, and club personalities will be showing up alongside FOX 5 talent, live music, cultural performances, giveaways, and merch drops. Opening weekend runs June 11 through 14, with music partners including Baja Beach Fest, K-Pop Club Night, Por La Mañana, and DJ Dynamiq.

Free viewing parties for Team USA and Team Mexico group stage matches are set for Chula Vista’s Elite Athlete Training Center and 3rd Avenue, plus Little Italy’s Piazza della Famiglia. All free, all public – just RSVP ahead of time. Group stage coverage runs through June 27, with knockout stage announcements coming in late June.
