Carlsbad’s Windmill Food Hall To Bring Food, Cocktails And Fun To North County

Food Halls are a hot concept around the country right now because of the variety and social atmosphere they give to guests – just look at the success of Liberty Public Market for a great example. Carlsbad’s highly anticipated Windmill Food Hall hopes to capitalize on the trend with the first food hall to open in North County, now tentatively (construction delays have already pushed back opening multiple times) slated to debut in late September.

North County’s first food hall is located within the iconic roadside landmark off Interstate 5. It will open its doors offering a variety of carefully handpicked food options so that every member of the family will find something they’ll enjoy, ranging from Korean fried chicken to Liege waffles.

Vendors Include:

Notorious Burgers: Gourmet sliders
Belgium Delights: Liège waffles served with a variety of sweet toppings
Lobster West: New England style staple foods such as Main lobster rolls

Bing Haus: Asian-inspired desserts, including cult followed rolled ice cream
Bread and Cheese Eatery: Gourmet made-from-scratch grilled cheese sandwiches
Rolled Up: Build-your-own rolled sushi burritos

Cross Street Chicken & Beer: Korean-style fried chicken
Taco Lady: Gourmet street tacos from the woman behind El Puerto Mexican & Seafood
Thai Style Kitchen: Traditional Thai cuisine

The concept will include a full-service bar, ample outdoor seating, backyard games, and “The Library”.

In addition, a speakeasy will occupy the second floor, which will be completed in the months following the Windmill Food Hall grand opening.

We’re excited to see some more ‘cool factor’ in North County!

See you there!
