Taste of South Park is Back After Five Years
After what feels like forever, one of our favorite neighborhood food crawls is finally returning. The Taste of South Park disappeared for five years, leaving a serious void in our fall event calendar, but it’s officially back this September with all the flavors and community vibes we’ve been missing.

What Makes This Event Special
South Park has quietly become one of the city’s most exciting food neighborhoods, packed with restaurants that locals guard like precious secrets. This event gives us permission to hop from spot to spot without looking like indecisive diners.
With a Tasting Passport in hand, we can work our way through the 30th and Fern Street corridor, sampling signature bites and drinks from over 20 participating spots.
The lineup includes some heavy hitters we already love—Buona Forchetta‘s legendary pizzas, Kindred‘s creative cocktails, The Rose Wine Bar‘s curated selections, and Mothership‘s coffee that’s become essential to many of our mornings.
Plus spots like Fernside, Shawarma Guys, Cafe Madeleine, and Mutual Friend Ice Cream that represent the neighborhood’s diverse food scene.

Beyond Just Food
While the eating is obviously the main event, this is really about exploring everything South Park has to offer. The neighborhood’s indie boutiques and creative storefronts are part of the experience, and the Tasting Passport includes exclusive discounts at retail and service businesses throughout the day.
There’s even free trolley service connecting the neighborhood from end to end, which is perfect for when our food-filled stomachs need a break from walking. It’s these thoughtful touches that make this feel like a proper neighborhood celebration rather than just another food festival.
The Community Element
Events like this remind us why we love living in a city made up of distinct neighborhoods. South Park has always had this creative, community-driven energy that sets it apart, and having an event that showcases that spirit feels important.
It’s a chance for longtime residents to rediscover spots they haven’t tried and for newcomers to understand what makes this corner of the city special.
