Taste Your Way Through Coronado for a Good Cause

The Coronado Junior Woman’s Club is bringing back the 17th Annual A Taste of Coronado, and this year, it’s about a lot more than just good food.

A portion of proceeds goes directly toward helping local foster youth build brighter futures, so every bite you take means something.

The 17th Annual Taste of Coronado

Wander the Island, One Bite at a Time

Here’s the fun part: A Taste of Coronado is a self-guided tour you can take on foot, by bike, or by trolley, so you make the night your own.

More than 900 people show up for an evening packed with innovative dishes, refreshing drinks, and live music, all while discovering the island’s restaurants, shops, and local businesses along the way.

As Co-chair Samantha O’Brien put it, “Our local restaurants, chefs, and sponsors are the heart of A Taste of Coronado. We’re excited to welcome both longtime attendees and first-time guests for an evening celebrating the best of Coronado.”

Every Bite Helps a Bigger Cause

This year’s beneficiary is Promises2Kids, a nonprofit that’s been supporting current and former foster youth throughout San Diego County since 1981.

Proceeds go toward the organization’s Guardian Scholars program, helping foster youth pursue vocational training, community college, or a university education through financial assistance, academic support, and mentoring.

And the results speak for themselves: over the last five years, 63% of Guardian Scholars have graduated college, compared to a national average of just 8 to 12% for former foster youth.

“By coming together through A Taste of Coronado, we hope to help provide the opportunities and resources that make a lasting difference in the lives of children who need them most,” said Sara Stillman, Co-chair of A Taste of Coronado.

Promises2Kids CEO Tonya Torosian added, “Every contribution helps us empower children and young adults to overcome challenges and build brighter futures.”

Here’s How to Get In

VIP Experience tickets are already on sale, and they come with exclusive perks if you’re looking to elevate your night, though spots are limited.

General admission tickets go on sale soon after, so keep an eye out for that one too. Either way, this is the kind of event that tends to sell out, so it’s worth locking in your spot sooner rather than later.

See you there!

One night, a whole island’s worth of food, and a cause worth showing up for. Come taste Coronado and help a great organization along the way.
