Brown and gold take over the Gaslamp as barleymash throws open the doors for the start of the 2026 baseball season. With an early opening, it is the perfect meet-up point to fuel up before heading toward Petco Park or to claim a spot and watch every play downtown.

Beer specials will be flowing all day, giveaways are in the mix, and a DJ kicks things up at the 7th inning stretch to keep the crowd buzzing.

Just a short walk from Petco Park, Swing Social is stepping up to the plate with $3 Estrella drafts during every Padres game this season.

The high-energy Gaslamp venue pairs big screens with three Full Swing sports simulator bays, so we can watch the game while taking a few swings of our own. It is part sports bar, part interactive playground, and fully dialed in for baseball season.

Opening Week energy is already building, and Harland Brewing is bringing fans even closer to the action with a special meet and greet with Padres All-Star infielder Jake Cronenworth.

Hosted at the flagship Scripps Ranch location, the event continues Harland’s collaboration with #9 and gives us a chance to snap photos, grab autographs, and soak in the game-day buzz with fellow fans.

Game day hits different when we are overlooking Petco Park from above. Borrego Rooftop Kitchen + Cocktails turns into a lively pregame hub with crowd energy you can hear and skyline views that never get old.

During all home games, Padres Hour brings $6 draft beers, including Stone Buenaveza, AleSmith .394, Coronado Orange Ave. Wit, and Juicy Haze IPA, plus $5 Modelo bottles.

Pacific Beach is getting an early start to the season with Sandbar’s Opening Day Pregame Party. This all-in ticket bundles breakfast, an open bar, a one-way party bus ride downtown, and a seat at the game as the Padres face the Detroit Tigers.

Check-in kicks off upstairs with breakfast burritos, hot dogs, and chicken tenders before the bus rolls out for a drop-off near Petco Park. It is a seamless way to rally the crew, skip the logistics, and head into first pitch together with plenty of energy.

A few blocks from Petco Park, El Chingon is bringing bold bites and strong pours to Opening Day and beyond. It is an easy Gaslamp stop to fuel up before heading toward the stadium or to settle in and catch the action on screen.

Expect $6 Nachos Libre and $5 rolled tacos alongside a $6 house margarita made with El Chingon Bad Ass Destilado tequila and a $9 “Bad Ass” michelada with Dos Equis. When the Padres are on the road, Padres-themed trivia keeps the energy high with prizes including future home game tickets.

Opening Day, All Day: Side Bar’s Padres Party Plans

Opening Day energy is about to take over downtown, and Side Bar is turning it into an all-day celebration in the heart of the Gaslamp.

The day starts with an Opening Day VIP Pre-Party alongside iHeartRadio, complete with one complimentary drink ticket, beats to set the tone, and Side Bar’s famous SideBurgers available for purchase.
