InterContinental San Diego And The Yoga Bus Team Up For Juneteenth Wellness Festival

Saturday, June 19, The Yoga Bus and InterContinental San Diego will be teaming up to throw the first annual Juneteenth Wellness Festival. Focused on lifting up and honoring the emancipation of the Black community in the United States, this event will celebrate life and liberty while supporting local Black-owned businesses, highlighting food, fashion, and fitness vendors, as well as Black artists and live music.

Featured food vendors include Rollin Roots and Cultivated Greens, offering plant-based comfort food that nurtures the body and spirit. Fashion vendor Kaiyare offers sophisticated handwoven bags and clothing made by female artisans. Additional vendors include Outlaw, A Man Who Sews, R Alexander Collection, DJ OScar Poche, DJ Tarzan, Black Girl Workouts, Prana Wellness, Stay Dance Center, NewLife Fitness, and Johnson & Johnson.

General festival admission is free and open to the public, while tickets to the wellness classes can be purchased here. Classes will be held throughout the day, and include an All-levels Yoga Flow led by The Yoga Bus, a Breathwork & Meditation class led by Prana Wellness, Strength Training with Desmond Jasper, and a Guts and Glutes class led by NewLife Fitness.

Classes range in price from $22 for a single class, to $69 for access to the entire program of classes. Black Girl Workouts will also be leading a free class on Lane Field from 12:30PM to 1:30PM, designed for all fitness levels, as well as a free Youth Fitness class from 3PM to 3:30PM.

See you there….and stay healthy, San Diego!
