San Diego-Based US Paralympians And Olympians To Attend ‘Meet Team USA’ Event Hosted By Smokin J’s BBQ In Poway

Ahead of the Tokyo Summer Olympics, Smokin J’s BBQ will host ‘Meet Team USA’ to spotlight San Diego-based US Paralympians and Olympians on Friday, July 2nd from 5-7PM.

Local Olympians and Paralympians, such as Smokin J’s co-owner and four-time Paralympian, Joshua George, four-time Paralympian, Lex Gillette, new coming Paralympian, Beatriz Hatz, among others will be in attendance. Members from the US Olympic and Paralympic Track and Field team, Paralympic Tennis team, men’s Olympic Rugby team, and more will also be present.

The event is open to the public.

Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Brotherly support

Smokin J’s BBQ has a strong background in Paralympic sport. Joshua George, co-owner, raced in 4 Paralympics and has won 5 medals. Co-owner and brother, Jeremy George, has come out and supported Josh from the stands in Athens, London, and Rio. Knowing how much it means to athletes to have the support of the community they live in, the brothers decided to host ‘Meet Team USA’ to celebrate the community and local talent.
