From decade skate dancing to premium Happy Hour specials, every day the Gaslamp Quarter celebrates The New Normal is Now by bringing free and limited fee activations to San Diegans and visitors all summer-long.
For Mother’s Day, the Gaslamp gave moms flowers; For Father’s Day, dads got hot sauce; For Independence Day, the sky lit up with a laser show for the young and young-at-heart; For Summer 2021, the Gaslamp Quarter brings you:

Throwback Thursdays
The Gaslamp takes a TBT more seriously than just posting a pic from the depths of our camera roll! With extended happy hour specials running until 8PM, you’ll be fueled up on grub and good drinks for your decade-themed roller-skating session!
Hosted by Sunset Roller Club, Island between 4th & 6th from 6-9PM comes alive with your favorite all-time hits of the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. You might know them from TikTok, but Sunset Roller Club now takes their tricks to the Gaslamp Quarter as a diverse group of skaters from all over San Diego which began as an outlet from the pandemic and now has exploded into a huge inclusive community of skaters of every level. Dress for the decade – themes rotate weekly!

Gaslamp Fitness
Everyone loves to kick off a weekend with a good sweat and we’re bringing the heart rate-risers to the streets of the Gaslamp Quarter! Every Saturday morning, Balanced Fitness challenges you to go all in, as local fitness studios and gyms, like F45, Fit and Brainstorm, take their popular classes to Island between 4th & 5th for outdoor movement in the community. Classes are 45 minutes each.

Silent Revival – Gaslamp Disco Experience
Come join us Saturday nights from 6-11PM for Silent Revival, a Gaslamp Disco. This outdoor fun and unique silent disco experience for the whole family takes place right in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter at 5th & Island. With three dj booths to choose from including Booth 1 with 80’s-90’s / Top 40 / Reggaeton, Booth 2 featuring House Music and Booth 3 with rotating Special Guests, you will find the perfect beat to groove to as you soak up a hot summer Saturday Night.
Headset rentals are $20 in advance and $25 day of. A percentage of the proceeds of each event will be donated to The Gaslamp Quarter Association®.
Gaslamp Flicks
And, what’s better than kick off a weekend than a Friday Happy Hour followed by some good ‘ol outdoor cinema! Underneath the iconic arch, enjoy a double-header of your favorite flicks on Friday, July 23rd and Friday, August 27th. Come to the Gaslamp for dinner and stay for the show! July’s feature films will be Ghostbusters and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Oh yeah, did we mention it’s free! Click here for details!
Taco Tuesday & Wagyu Wednesday
You didn’t think we’d leave Tuesdays and Wednesdays out of the Summer fun, did you? Each week check out Gaslamp Quarter bar & restaurant deals on everything Taco Tuesday. From traditional to innovative, flavors and variety are endless amongst the local favorite and new-to-the-scene establishments.
On Wednesdays we eat Wagyu! The transcendently tender, fatty, umami-rich steak takes center stage in the Gaslamp Quarter with discounted deals at participating venues.

The Gaslamp Summers line-up is part of the Gaslamp Quarter Association’s The New Normal is Now campaign which celebrates the positive upgrades to the district, highlighting the expanded open-air dining offerings, Gaslamp Weekly Promenade and easy parking options.
