Art Of Elan’s Regeneration Celebrates 15th Season

Art of Elan is moving forward with a season dedicated to the revitalization of San Diego’s creative community and the artists and cultural institutions it encompasses. Entitled Regeneration, the organization known for its collaborative spirit and for introducing audiences to the “edges” of classical music will celebrate its 15th season with a renewed commitment to thoughtful programming and intentional community relationships.

According to co-founder and Artistic Director, Kate Hatmaker, “This special 15th season reminds us of the restorative and unifying power of the arts. It’s an opportunity to re-energize our souls, revitalize our neighborhoods, and renew our commitment to lifting people up through music.”

Season Highlights

Season highlights include a return to the long-running series at The San Diego Museum of Art, collaborations with Mingei International Museum, the new Institute of Contemporary Art, and the Front Gallery in San Ysidro.

Special guest artists include the American Modern Opera Company (AMOC), Nathalie Joachim, Johnny Gandelsman, the Kontras Quartet, and the Myriad Trio, featuring Art of Elan cofounder Demarre McGill.

With music by Jessie Montgomery, Marcos Balter, Nico Muhly, Angelica Negron, Javier Alvarez and Caroline Shaw, as well as the complete Bach Cello Suites. World premieres of exciting new works by Timo Andres, Adele Faizullina, Steven Snowden and Jory Herman round out this dynamic and celebratory season.
