Moonshine Beach + Flats Invite You To Celebrate The Return Of Football Season At San Diego’s Rowdiest Game Day Parties

Whether you’re a die-hard football fan, or just love the camaraderie that comes with rooting for a team, or simply want something normal to look forward to as this damn pandemic rolls on, this football season The Deck at Moonshine Flats and Moonshine Beach want to be your go-to game-day San Diego sports bars.

Both venues, owned and operated by Good Time Design, are rolling out a variety of exciting new specials, including brand new LCD TV screens, lawn and drinking games, revamped food and drink menus, and an epic loyalty program so you can celebrate the return of football season with gusto.

San Diego’s Resident 49ers bar

San Diego’s resident 49ers bar, Moonshine Beach, is inviting Niners Nation to kick off the season and pick up loyalty cards on Sunday, September 12, while watching the opening game on the indoor, 33 foot (higher than the length of an endzone) LED screen. All 49ers games will be broadcasted at Moonshine Beach for the duration of the season and everyone who attends the first game will be given loyalty cards, but if you can’t make it, they will also be sold afterward in a limited supply for $49.

Loyalty card holders get preferred seating and can enter the venue 30 minutes before the public, will be entered into a weekly lottery for prizes that will be announced each week via social media, and will receive 20% off regular-priced food and drinks up until the last game of the season.

If you support a team other than the 49ers, Moonshine Beach’s new outdoor extension is introducing a 10 foot LED screen that will broadcast NFL Redzone games so you can soak up some sunshine and challenge your friends to lawn and drinking games without missing a play.

49ers fan or not, there will be no sitting on the sidelines because the indoor dance hall will open an hour before kickoff and won’t close until after the games, so you can enjoy some boot-stomping fun while your team takes the dub.

The Deck at MSF

If you’re a Chargers fan, The Deck at MSF is the place to be. In addition to the impressive 16 TV screens already spread throughout the venue this year, The Deck is introducing a brand new 165” LCD Video Wall that is guaranteed to make Chargers games feel like a truly immersive experience. If you’re looking to get off the bench and get some playing time, test your QB skills at the football throwing net or challenge your friends to a game of pool, giant beer pong, or to a video game.

If you don’t beat your friends in those games, there’s still a chance to win it big during the weekly raffles. Prizes will include neon signs, concert tickets, Padres tickets, gift cards and more, and even bigger monthly prizes will include things like dinners downtown, hotel rooms, and even Moonshine Flats NYE tickets that include a table and a comped bottle of liquor and champagne.

New drink deals!

No football celebration is complete without a little booze, and both Moonshine Beach and The Flats have new drink deals that will run for the duration of all games so you can tailgate the right way. Moonshine Beach is offering:

  • $15 cocktail buckets
  • $30 for Kona Big Wave, Golden Road Mango Cart, Karbach Ranch Water buckets
  • 5 49ers shots (Fireball, Peach Schnapps, Cranberry)

Some of The Deck’s drink specials include Buena Cerveza Buckets ($20 for 5 beers), Bottomless Mimosas for $20 a person (with a 2 hour time limit), and Bloody Mary Pitchers like you’ve never seen them before – complete with celery, stuffed olives, pickles, candied bacon, pepper jack cheese, smoked jerky, cocktail shrimp and wings. The full drink menu can be found online here.

If the full meal on top of the bloody mary pitcher doesn’t quite satisfy you, The Deck is also offering a selection of menu items for just $10 on game days, including the St. Louis rib basket, flaming hot cheeto corn dogs, pork belly burnt ends, frito pies, and smoked chicken wings.

Nobody does football season like Moonshine Beach and The Deck at MSF, so throw on your jersey, grab your friends and come cheer for your team at San Diego’s most rowdy game day parties.

See you there, San Diego!
