Help Name Lions Tigers & Bears’ New Tortoise!

It’s official – Lions Tigers & Bears has it’s first-ever shelled rescue. Weighing in at 100 pounds, the 17-year-old tortoise is the sanctuary’s latest resident.

Here’s the catch … he needs a name by this Friday 9/24 – and Lions Tigers & Bears is calling on the public for help.

Head to their website here. Make a donation of any amount to submit a name by 9/24!

Lions Tigers & Bears will host a virtual “shell-ection” for the top names later this month. Plus, locals and visitors alike can visit them and meet its tortoise, big cats, bears and other animals with an educational visit.

The sanctuary is participating in Kids Free October, which gives one free child’s pass with the purchase of an adult “Member for a Day” pass.

See you there, San Diego!
