Become An Expert (Mixologist + More) At Communal Oceanside’s Holiday Workshops

San Diego’s creative-minded café & shop, Communal, has extended its offerings and now also offers ticketed workshops at its newly opened Oceanside location (602 S Tremont St Suite 100, Oceanside, CA 92054).

Designed to collaborate and engage with the community, Communal’s workshops will feature community members who are experts in their field to instruct classes like December’s hosted Wreath-making (Friday, December 10), Cocktail-making (Thursday, December 16), Ring-making, and more!

Holiday Wreath Making

To get you in the Holiday Spirit Communal’s first workshop will teach you how to make a Holiday Wreath! This Friday, December 10 from 6 to 8PM ($120) join Communal at their Oceanside location and make either a simplistic modern or chock full of greens wreath, the perfect addition to your Holiday decor!

The workshop includes all materials necessary to make a wreath from scratch and Communal’s best-selling charcuteries and pizzettas will be available to enjoy throughout the event. Oceanside’s floral staff will teach you how to weave your wreath base starting with fresh curly willow, with plenty of additional options including fresh and dried holiday greens, berries, florals and fine linen ribbon to finish it off. Buy your tickets here!

Mix up great cocktails

The first of the Cocktail Club Workshop Series, each featuring a different spirit, will highlight the cold-weather cocktail staple, bourbon. Thursday, December 16 at 7PM ($75) plan to explore new techniques for mixing up great cocktails with experts in the industry.

Join Communal owner, Jen Byard and Maker’s Mark’s Trevor Bowles for an evening filled with bourbon-based cocktails and food. Learn how to mix four different cocktails using Maker’s Mark while enjoying charcuterie and pizzettas from Communal’s kitchen throughout the evening. Space is limited so purchase your tickets here now!

Communal is excited to open their doors to guests for a year-round calendar of curated events in 2022 – so keep an eye out!

See you there, San Diego!
