Herb & Sea Hosts WILDCOAST Treasure Fish Feast

Encinitas’s restaurant Herb & Sea, is happy to announce its long-term partnership with WILDCOAST, an international non-profit that conserves coastal and marine ecosystems and addresses climate change through natural solutions.

Partnering with local fisheries, the restaurant will serve as a hub for education and fundraising for WILDCOAST’S local efforts, as well as efforts in Baja and mainland Mexico.

The partnership, which came about from their shared mission of protecting and preserving our oceans, kicks off Monday, March 21 at Herb & Sea with a multi-course dinner, the Treasure Fish Feast.

A by-catch menu

The evening will begin at 6:30PM with welcome cocktails from Solento Tequila along with tray-passed bites, followed by a five-course dinner menu exclusively utilizing local ‘treasure fish’, lesser-known and non-targeted species caught in San Diego’s fisheries often called “by-catch,” paired with wine from Niner Winery.

Due to the nature of by-catch, the menu will be fully dependent on what is available the morning of the event. Potential fish include Opah, Sheepshead, Small Fish, Rock Fish, White Fish, and Halibut.

WILDCOAST’s CEO, Serge Dedina, along with local scientists and fishermen will be in attendance to help guests learn more about WILDCOAST’s mission and how to protect our fisheries.

All profits from ticket revenue will go towards funding WILDCOAST’s efforts to conserve our planet’s most critical ecosystems.

See you there, San Diego!
