Hockey, Craft Beer, and Good Causes – Pucks & Pints Is Back at Bay City Brewing
San Diego has a knack for combining things we love, and Pucks & Pints might be the best example of that. This annual charity event brings together live hockey, local craft beer, and some serious community spirit for a full day worth clearing your schedule for.

A Full Day of Hockey and Hops
The day kicks off at Pechanga Arena with the Brewers Charity Game, where players representing breweries and brewpubs from across the county face off on the ice.
Once the final buzzer sounds, the action moves to Bay City Brewing – right across the northern parking lot – for the Craft Beer Festival, featuring local brews, food from Phil’s BBQ, and an opportunity drawing.
And the day doesn’t stop there. The $70 ticket also gets us into the San Diego Gulls vs. Colorado Eagles professional hockey game – making this one of the better value days out San Diego has to offer.

Giving Back to San Diego
What makes Pucks & Pints stand out is that it’s built around community impact. The event benefits several San Diego nonprofits – San Diego Chill, Emilio Nares Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Greater San Diego, the San Diego Brewers Guild, and Resque Ranch. So every pint poured is doing some good.
It’s a reminder that some of the best days out are the ones that give back a little, too.
Tickets Cover the Whole Day
One ticket gets us into both the Brewers Charity Game and the Craft Beer Festival, making it a solid deal for a full day of entertainment. Bay City Brewing’s Point Loma spot on Hancock Street is a great setting for it – spacious, welcoming, and very much the right kind of place for a crowd that loves beer and good causes.
