San Diego Vegan Festival Gears Up for 2nd Annual Event
The second annual San Diego Vegan Festival has even more in store for guests! Attendees will enjoy free entry, more vendors and extended hours—timed just right to catch golden hour at the Waterfront Park in Downtown San Diego.
This cornerstone event by local nonprofit, Vegan in San Diego, showcases the vegan lifestyle through food, drinks, goods, and information booths from local rescues and businesses, in an open and inviting setting for vegans and vegan-curious folks from all over Southern California.
The vendor line-up for this year’s celebration is packed with more than 80 vendors, including 49 who will be serving up foods, sweets and drinks.
Menus will offer a culturally diverse array of plant-based fare including lumpia, pizza, tacos, kimbap, sushi, burgers, dumplings, cinnamon rolls, cookies, lemonade, kombucha, coffee and more!
There will be seven nonprofits and local animal rescue organizations offering information and ways to support, as well as nearly 30 vendors offering apparel, body care products, art, jewelry, seasonings, snacks and a whole lot more.
“Frost Venture is thrilled to sponsor the San Diego Vegan Festival for a second year. The festival showcases the vibrant and thriving vegan community in San Diego, and we cannot wait to be a part of this incredible gathering,” said Maci Torreyson of Frost Venture.
Alongside Frost Venture, this event is also sponsored by San Diego-founded Plant Power Fast Food. “From its humble beginnings, San Diego’s vegan scene has evolved into a vibrant force for change.”
“The San Diego Vegan Festival symbolizes our collective achievements and unity,” said Zachary Vouga, co-founder of Plant Power Fast Food.
“As a long-standing member of the vegan community in San Diego, witnessing this growth has been incredibly inspiring, showcasing the strength and potential of our united efforts.”
With food and drinks in hand, attendees can listen to speaker panels on three topics: Lessons from a Vegan Business Owner at noon, Encouraging Veganism through Vegan Recipes at 2 PM, and Impacts on Rescues of the Nationwide Adopter Shortage at 4 PM.
