Downtown Chula Vista is Booming!

More and more individuals are gravitating towards Downtown Chula Vista for its flourishing community atmosphere. As a result, businesses are also making their way down south, with each new establishment bringing a new element to the South Bay neighborhood.

So, get excited for these newcomers to hit the block!

Tuetano Taqueria

After recently opening her sister business, Mujer Divina Burrito and Coffee House, right next door, Owner and Chef Priscilla Curiel is thrilled to soon welcome you to explore the authentic flavors at Tuetano Taqueria.

Slated to open later this year, the new taqueria will embrace its signature menu item to the fullest: birria. Made with high-quality beef and chiles secos, as well as housemade adobo, their birria has been drawing people from all over the region to try the savory meats.

Along with their famous birria, Tuetano Taqueria will also feature other Mexican classics like tortas, tacos, and more.

Resident Brewing

Say hello to the new brewery in town! Born out of a collective passion for great beer and meaningful connections, Resident Brewing embraces the true spirit of San Diego through its inviting atmosphere for friends, neighbors and fellow beer enthusiasts along with refreshing brews.

Their wide selection of beers is as varied and unique as the people in San Diego, as each brew is a celebration of the local character of the city. Whether you’re a brew fanatic or looking to explore beers for the first time, Resident Brewing should be on your list!

TNT Pizza

East Village’s beloved pizza joint, TNT Pizza, is opening its second location in Downtown Chula Vista! TNT, short for Thick’n Thin, will soon be serving a diverse range of quality-made pizzas to the South Bay locals.

Among the offerings are the fan-favorite one-inch-high Detroit pizza and the New York-style pizza, available both by the slice and as whole pies. Additionally, you can indulge in alternatives such as the medium-thick grandma pan pizza and an ultra-thin tavern style.

Different from the East Village location, the Downtown Chula Vista spot will feature a larger menu with more pizza topping options and other delicious bites like appetizers and sandwiches.

New Third Avenue Sign

If you’ve driven down Third Avenue, you might notice something is quite different. With the support of the City of Chula Vista, Downtown Chula Vista now has a new LED sign, lighting up the neighborhood in the evening.

Showcasing colored lights that are as vibrant as this South Bay community, Downtown Chula Vista now has a beautiful sign to welcome residents and visitors to the neighborhood.

The City of Chula Vista and the Downtown Chula Vista Association will be hosting an official ribbon-cutting event on Wednesday, June 12, at 8 PM to celebrate the renovation.

See you there!
